Welcome to the home page of 3 Bricks Shy! 3 Bricks Shy is comprised of songwriters Rick Lally, Shay Ryburn and Melinda Highfill. Their music stretches across genres including acoustic rock, country, pop, folk, blues and jazz. The band officially came to existence in November of 2012. Songwriters Rick Lally and Shay Ryburn had been performing as Rick and Shay. Melinda Highfill had joined them on various songs and on many different occasions. Melinda joined the team full-time in the summer of 2012 for the release party of their solo CDs. Rick and Shay felt that it was time to change the name of the crew. Currently 3 Bricks Shy is a trio, but who is to say what the future could bring!

The trio is currently working hard at recording 10 of their original songs in such a way that it reflects their live performances. Check out our progress at our music tab on this site! 

So far this year we've been very busy and have had the opportunity to play thousands of folks and we always get a positive vibe back from our audiences. As a band we always try to push out a fun & positive vibe to our audience and listeners! One person that introduced us recently at the start of a concert said he can help but feel happy when he hears our music. Of course that made use feel like we were on cloud 9!
